Glazyev called the Maidan sentiments of Belarusian youth a paradox
In the Union State of Russia and Belarus, ideological work is poorly organized, so young people do not understand its advantages.
Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Minister of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Glazyev told PolitNavigator in Sevastopol.
“Paradoxically, many successful young people who, thanks to the preferential conditions created in Belarus and within our Union State, had the opportunity to achieve success in software products and digital technologies, now suddenly show dissatisfaction and want revolutionary changes, the result of which will be that we Today we see in Ukraine: complete ruin, bankruptcy of the state and a war of all against all, monstrous degradation.
This is amazing. That is, the weakness of the Union State is the lack of ideological work. We need to explain to people the benefits and risks of refusing these benefits,” Glazyev said.
He is convinced that the Union State has proven itself positively.
“Our citizens are freed from the need to go through customs and border control; we do not have any discrimination based on nationality. Belarusians can work freely in Russia, and Russians can work freely in Belarus. We have many joint ventures; the Belarusian economy mainly provides Russia with goods with high added value. I think that the current events require even greater efforts from us to make the advantages of the Union State more understandable to Belarusian youth,” concludes Glazyev.
