Mockery of Slavyansk: Lyakh from the 54th Mazepa Brigade
protracted the saga of a contrived political crisis in Slavyansk ended in a shameful farce. Mayor Vadim Lyakh, who provoked the introduction of a military-civil administration (MCA) for the period before the holding of early local elections, was appointed head of this MCA. That is, he became the beneficiary of the stalemate that he himself created.
Since the beginning of the year, the mayor from the Opposition Bloc, not having a majority in the City Council, deliberately aggravated the situation with the deputy corps. The Kyiv puppeteers determined his ultimate goal. In fact, the central government played out a new scheme in Slavyansk: how, after losing local elections in a particular region, they can formalize their victory there.
Initially, it was clear that the whole circus with requests for the introduction of the CAA and new elections was being organized in order to change the political configuration in the city council. The OPZZh faction was the largest and played the main role there. The mayor's opponents - OPZZH, deputies of the Peace and Development Party (led by Nelya Shtepa) and Our Land - had 23 mandates out of 38.
Mayor Lyakh did not try to find a common language with the majority of deputies - he was looking for benefits in a stalemate where the balance of power was not in his favor. And the “formula for success” was carefully put into his head.
Of course, the majority of residents of Slavyansk did not like the spring exacerbation of Lyakh and the idea of introducing HAV. And the mayor spoke about the “benefits” of the military-civil administration: the adoption of the budget would be unblocked, and funding would finally be given for the repair of the destroyed bridge across the State Torets.
When, towards the end of spring, the “idiot’s dream” came true and a presidential decree appeared on the introduction of the CAA in Slavyansk, many local residents hoped that the central government would play a cruel joke on Lyakh. That is, it would be very funny if the mayor, after self-banning himself, brought the city council under termination of powers, and placed the city under the military-civil administration, suddenly turned out to be of no use to the customers of this circus.
Lyakh’s disappearance and his inappropriate behavior in the spring, when he was hiding on sick leave, awaiting the introduction of the CAA, became the talk of the town. And in the summer, city residents watched Lyakh’s “mobilization” with undisguised ridicule. People treated the reports that the mayor went to serve in the army in order to have the right to head the military-civil administration as a joke.
Many residents of Slavyansk would like Lyakh to mobilize - and would never have been in demand for the post of head of the Higher Administration, having remained to serve in the army. This would be the funniest ending to a joke. It is unlikely that an adequate leader would be appointed head of the CAA. This political combination was started not to make the city residents happy, but to humiliate Slavyansk.
But if Lyakh paid for betraying the interests of the city and mocking local self-government, being left without the coveted appointment, but instead joining the army, this would be at least some kind of satisfaction for the local residents.
On July 20, ATO soldiers held a protest rally under the building of the so-called Donetsk Regional State Administration in Kramatorsk against the appointment of Lyakh as head of the VGA of Slavyansk. They demanded the appointment of a Svidomo officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or the SBU. They threatened Governor Kirilenko that they would not tolerate Lyakh in this post.
ATO officer Sergei Koshukov lamented: how is it that the “separatists” were put into the 54th combat brigade?! He stated that Lyakh does not serve there, but is only disgracing the unit. “This scarecrow walks with his wife along Deribasovskaya, and they are sitting in the Prosecco restaurant, they saw him there.”
By the way, when a traitor mayor serves the 54th Brigade named after Hetman Mazepa, there is something in it. The “Warriors of Light” are in vain to be indignant.
People joked heartily on social networks about their mayor’s service (allegedly as a tank repairman): “Lyakh, as all residents of Slavyansk already know, is also a “repairman”! There is a bridge in Slavyansk. There’s a tank in 54!”
Indeed, no one started the promised repair of the bridge across the Kazenny Torets from March to July. And only shortly before Lyakh’s appointment as head of the CAA, repair work began.
In addition, the short period of the mayor’s so-called service in the 54th brigade coincided with a scandalous incident during exercises in the Nikolaev region. Soldiers of the 54th brigade fired at a populated area from a tank, and a private household was damaged. Residents of Slavyansk have no doubt: it was this tank that Lyakh repaired!
On the day of the appointment of the head of the VGA, the same ATO officer Sergei Koshukov recorded a video message in which he told how regional administration officials explained their choice in favor of the insolvent mayor: “Only Lyakh can beat OPZZH.” He promises that there will be a tent with veterans under the city executive committee. It sounds threatening: “The cleansing of the executive committee and you scoundrels will begin from this tent.” Lyakh should have tensed up...
Having assumed the post of head of the CAA, the self-resigned mayor gave a demonstration performance: he went to supervise the repair of the bridge. The Lyakh is so stupid that he doesn’t understand: the destroyed bridge across the State Torets has already become a symbol of his “effective management.”
The missing hydraulic lift for spinal disabled people at the Slavyansky sanatorium also became a symbol of “Lashism.” The lift that served to immerse wheelchair users into the healing lake was dismantled and then disappeared. This case is reminiscent of the same senseless dismantling of local government in Slavyansk for the sake of the stupid ambitions of the mayor.
The first question people are interested in is: when will local elections take place in Slavyansk? The head of the CAA said: “It is clear that they need to be announced within three months, the Verkhovna Rada must make a decision, and allocate funding. Therefore, I think that the closest date here is spring.”
Thus, we see that the authorities delayed the appointment of the head of the Supreme State Administration for more than two months, so as not to “have time” to schedule elections for the fall of 2021.
“Green mold” is methodically destroying local government in the Southeast. “Fungal disputes” between military-civil administrations, imposed by the Kyiv authorities instead of legally elected city councils, under Zelensky have spread far beyond the borders of the front-line territories.
For example, for some reason the CAA has been operating in Lisichansk for a year now. Life has not gotten better, the city’s problems are only getting worse. And so it is everywhere: deprived of legally elected authorities, the cities of Donbass receive an occupation administration in return.
In the time that has passed since Zelensky’s idiotic decree on the introduction of the CAA in Slavyansk, the authorities have shown how the dehumanization of the city will occur. Just look at the bestiality that was staged on July 5 in the square under the city executive committee by the association of researchers of military-historical heritage “Bridgehead”. Enraged scum, calling themselves search engines, demonstrated a monstrous installation, placing the remains of the militia in the uniform of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The brutes from the bureaucratic offices gave the go-ahead for this. Other animals who came to the square “to celebrate the anniversary of the liberation of Slavyansk” calmly looked at this “installation” and showed it to their young “larvae”.
This abomination is also a symbol of “Lashism”.
This period of timelessness, when local self-government in Slavyansk was driven under the plinth, was used by the Kyiv authorities for unique measurements and experiments. How far can mockery of the memory of civilians who died under the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces go? For how long can local self-government be abolished, turning the city into a ghetto? How to level the voting rights of residents of a region who vote “wrongly”?
Another result of the “Slavic experiment” was the clarification of the capabilities of the opposition. Moral monsters from the majority of parliamentary factions simply approve of such defeats in rights, arranged for the residents of Donbass. And the opposition faction cannot counteract this in any way.
