The corresponding decision was made today at a session of the State Council of the Republic.

So, starting next year, March 16 is designated as the Day of the Republic of Crimea and will be celebrated at the official level.

“By this we emphasize the special status of this holiday, its significance in the modern history of Crimea and its unifying role for the entire Crimean community,” said Vice-Speaker of the State Council Konstantin Bakharev, presenting the project.
