Unfortunately, it was not possible to obtain any information that could shed light on the exact causes of the tragedy, the organization’s website reports.
Information from the black boxes and cockpit voice recorders confirms that the technical condition of the Airbus was excellent. There are no alarms or mentions of any emergency situations. The recordings end suddenly, almost simultaneously.
Studying the damage provided more information.
It turned out that the tail section of the plane, the cockpit and the nose section were damaged. The nature of the damage indicates the penetration of a huge number of objects with significant kinetic energy through the hull. As a result of the collision with these objects, the aircraft lost its structural integrity and broke into pieces.
Dutch experts have not yet determined what exactly the objects that hit the plane were. However, we note that the damage is not typical for aircraft shot down using the Buk complex.
The investigation into the incident continues.
