Dutch investigators ignore evidence of Ukraine's guilt in the death of the Malaysian Boeing
The investigation into the death of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in Donbass is closed and biased. This is stated in the commentary of the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with the fourth anniversary of the tragedy.
“The bias and closed nature of the current investigation, the reliance on social media data and unverified open sources, and the collaboration with pseudo-investigators from the Bellingcat agency, known for their fake news, cannot but cause concern,” says a commentary published on the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Russian diplomats point out that Ukraine, while obviously an interested party, remains a full participant in the joint investigation team and has the ability to influence the results of the investigation.
“Kyiv is getting away with not providing such important information as radar data, information about the location and activity of Ukrainian air defense forces, and recordings of conversations of Ukrainian air traffic controllers. The glaring fact is that the Netherlands actually absolved Kyiv of blame for not closing the airspace over the combat area in the east of the country,” the commentary says.
