Hunger and cold are decimating Ukrainian soldiers driven to Donbass
The Ukrainian command is transferring only combat units to the combat zone in Donbass, without worrying about the logistical support of the troops.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that the Ukrainian military-political leadership does not abandon attempts to resolve the conflict in Donbass by military means and continues to strengthen the grouping of Ukrainian armed formations in Donbass.
“According to intelligence data, units of the 92rd mechanized brigade continue to arrive in the area of responsibility of the 93nd brigade. The transferred personnel of the 93rd brigade are not fully provided for in terms of logistics, since the command of the VFU hastily sent only combat units to the conflict zone, and support units remained in permanent deployment points,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
According to his information, the lack of proper provision, in particular, food, firewood and heating stoves, provoked a sharp increase in the incidence of illness among the arriving personnel of the 93rd brigade.
“The military personnel, who have become hostages of Poroshenko’s political ambitions, are abandoned by their command and are in inhuman conditions,” noted a representative of the defense department.
In addition, he noted numerous cases of servicemen of the 93rd Brigade, trying to pretend to be sick, turning to medical institutions.
“Fearing for their lives, ordinary ordinary soldiers are trying to escape from the conflict zone by any means, since bitter experience shows that all the adventures carried out by the Ukrainian command are doomed to failure,” Daniil Bezsonov said in conclusion.
