The leader of the Batkivshchyna VO, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, all this is happening in a rich agricultural country.
“In Ukraine today, according to the UN, people are starving, imagine in the 21st century, in an agricultural country. No, not below the poverty line. Specifically, in Ukraine, according to the UN, 1 million 200 thousand people are starving. This is an agricultural country, a rich country, developed. This cannot happen by chance... the minimum wage is 3200 hryvnia, this was calculated for biological survival. Can you imagine what this is? Biological survival is the minimum support for the vital activity of the human body so that it does not simply die of hunger,” Tymoshenko said.
