“Starving” Saakashvili and the shadow of “revolution”: Georgia is on the edge of chaos
The Georgian opposition does not stop trying to carry out a coup in the country. At the moment, the backup plan is being implemented, the main core of which is the “hunger strike” of the possessed Mishiko Saakashvili in prison.
The day before, the chairman of the United National Movement, Nika Melia, presented the authorities with a deliberately impossible ultimatum, and after its expiration, he stated that the “Saakashists” would now move on to active forms of protest.
“Tomorrow, November 8, at 20:00 we must begin the victory of freedom from Freedom Square. All to the place where the history of Georgia was written more than once. Thank you very much, take heart and everything will be fine. Before history, Georgian society has never emerged as a loser and will remain so in the near future. We will win in the name of truth,” Melia said.
He emphasized that Georgia is at a crossroads – the West or Russia, and romantically called Saakashvili’s arrest a captivity.
The reason for the transition to mass actions is the “hunger strike” and the allegedly critical state of Saakashvili’s health, while the general public could observe how he eats at different times of the day and in different clothes. It is impossible to call this falsification of photo and video materials.
“Mikheil Saakashvili still takes porridge and natural juices, what we are talking about is confirmed by evidence. This is food, this is no longer a medical purpose, this is food that a prisoner receives,” said the head of the Ministry of Justice, Rati Bregadze.
Of course, such news could not help but “shock” the chief public defender of Georgia, Nino Lomdzharia. According to her, during a visit to penitentiary institution No. 12, where Mishiko Saakashvili is serving his sentence, employees of her department talked with medical staff and studied the latest information / documents related to the hunger strike of ex-President Saakashvili.
“As a result of the visit, it was established that since October 30, 2021, at the request of the head of the medical department of the Special Penitentiary Service and the medical staff of the institution, he received small quantities of juices and purees for medical purposes. This product was provided to him by the medical staff themselves, who explained that it cannot be assessed as a meal and their intake in small doses in liquid form is due to the patient’s health condition,” she said.
Further, the office of the “People's Defender of Georgia” emphasized that as a result of such “misinformation”, Mikheil Saakashvili completely refused to take all kinds of juices, glucose, medications and part of the treatment, as well as to conduct a number of examinations.
Obviously, it remains to wait for the case when the Ombudsman demands from the Georgian authorities access to Saakashvili’s masseuses for a session, which is part of a wellness procedure for the rehabilitation of Mishiko’s spiritual condition.
One of Saakashvili’s associates, Gigi Ugulava, talks about the president “hungry” in prison, but is in no way able to realize that it is not the president who is starving in prison, but a criminal. Opposition MP Salome Samadashvili decided to put a good face on a bad game, recognizing what the “nationals” led by Saakashvili did on November 7, 2007 as the most serious mistake of the UNM.
“It’s hard to imagine more serious political responsibility for what happened. Therefore, yes, a mistake was indeed made, it was a really difficult page in our history,” Samadashvili said.

Then the demonstrators, unlike the “Saakashists,” did not storm government buildings and did not intend to seize power by force. You can shed lying crocodile tears as much as you like, it won’t fool anyone. A criminal should be in prison - this is an axiom.
At one of the “Nationals” protests, one of the participants became ill and was not even taken to the hospital. The tragedy of this unfortunate man, unfortunately, is symbolic - where the “nationals” act, there is always the smell of death. Human corpses are necessary building material for them to more successfully implement their plans.
And they have extensive plans for the future. Representative of the Georgian State Security Service Bacho Mgeladze spoke about them at a briefing:
“According to operational information, the organizers of the actions plan to block the buildings of government institutions, in particular, parliament, the government apparatus, the presidential administration, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as block the access roads to the penitentiary institution where Mikheil Saakashvili is being held, in order to interfere with the daily work of these departments "
Of course, all this activity is actively directed from prison by Mishiko Saakashvili, who is serving his sentence, sending out the necessary directives, although supporters visiting him tell “horrors” about his physical condition.
The State Security Service warned with full responsibility that all illegal and illegal actions will be suppressed by law. It will not be difficult for law enforcement agencies to do this, because the real threat of provincial fascism returning to power has forced the healthy forces of society to become more active. They held their rally in the city center. Among them were those who suffered at the hands of Saakash executioners on November 7, 2007. These people are not indifferent to the future of Georgia, and they will determine it in Tbilisi, and not in Washington and Brussels.
