Hungry Ukrainian soldiers take food from local residents in Donbass
The Ukrainian command left the soldiers of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade without food supplies. Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The number of crimes committed by Ukrainian security forces against civilians in the territory temporarily occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has increased significantly. Military personnel of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade regularly terrorize the population of the city of Dzerzhinsk and the village of Kurdyumovka. Residents of these settlements are subject to robbery and extortion. Under the pretext of “voluntary” assistance to Ukrainian “defenders,” food and property are taken away from the population. Even the ATO command was concerned about the sharp increase in dissatisfaction among the population with the illegal actions of Ukrainian military personnel.
Over the past few days alone, military police have detained 19 soldiers from the 2nd and 15th separate battalions of the 128th brigade, suspected of various crimes. However, law enforcement agencies refuse to initiate criminal cases against the so-called “soldiers of good”, fearing that the threats coming from their colleagues will be carried out.
Also, in connection with engineering work and deforestation, Ukrainian security forces cordoned off the Gulyaevsky area, near the village of Zaitsevo.
