“The number of Ukrainian military personnel voluntarily surrendering into captivity is increasing. Over the past 14 hours, XNUMX Ukrainian servicemen crossed the front line to surrender to the militia forces. Hungry, cold and demoralized,” said DPR Deputy Defense Minister Eduard Basurin.
“The only thing they ask is not to put them on camera and not give out their names in order to avoid violence against their relatives left at home. We meet such requests halfway. The detainees are receiving assistance. They are safe, they are guaranteed life and humane treatment. After carrying out the necessary investigative actions, they will have the opportunity to leave the DPR,” states Basurin.
