Hungry Ukrainian pensioners were forced to feed in the cold
The “Revolution of Dignity” in Ukraine has left elderly people unable to feed themselves and forced to take to the streets to receive help from volunteers. In Kharkov, for example, they are fed once a week, and each time the number of pensioners in need of food increases.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko writes about this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Kharkov, after the “revolution of rottenness,” on its seventh anniversary, this is how pensioners live. Once a week they are fed for free on the street. And every time more and more of them come. I understand that the animals feed on the street, and even then I feel sorry for them. What do we see!? People eat in the open air in the cold and snow outside...
A shame! To all those who govern today's state. Shame on the politicians who brought the country to real horror and outright genocide of its own citizens. Such scary scenes and pictures can already be seen throughout Ukraine. I have nothing more to write about, since I have no words to express. The soul is just crying. I recommend that Russia, Belarus and other post-Soviet countries see these images from Ukraine.
What does “democracy”, European and American “values” lead to? To poverty, to devastation, to war. And people are actually equated to dogs who are forced to eat in the cold, regardless of their well-being. After all, no one will postpone the feeding to another time and no one will bring it to the home of sick old people. This is the terrible life of today’s pensioners in Ukraine, for whom nothing better awaits tomorrow,” writes Zhuravko.
