The statement by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who called the performance of the Ukrainian anthem in Moscow during Oleksandr Usik’s boxing match “closer to victory,” sounds stupid.
Kiev political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent, according to whom Poroshenko always looks for strength and images in everything.
“This is noticeable when he speaks: “It’s so symbolic that we meet on such and such a day...” He constantly talks about this. Foolish man. In addition, Usik’s victory raises many questions; social networks have already teased it all. Why doesn’t Loboda’s victory deserve to be given the title of Hero of Ukraine, but Usik does? Or why is the 2018 World Cup bad, but a boxing match good? And it would be nice to remember Usik not only when he wins, but also when he says quite fair things both about the language and about the war in Ukraine, because Usik, in my opinion, is a boxer with an unbroken head, his head, unlike from many fellow citizens, the same Pyotr Alekseevich works, cooks, and he not only eats in it,” the expert said.
At the same time, the political scientist said that he has a video on his channel demonstrating how he walks around Red Square and sings the Ukrainian anthem.
