Thus, at the head base of the Ukrainian Navy, ceremonial events dedicated to the “Day of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea” were held, in which People’s Deputy Alexey Goncharenko, the head of the Odessa Regional Council Mikhail Shmushkovich and the representative of the Crimean Tatars Miryem Aliyeva took part.
After laying flowers at the memorial plaque to the ATO participants, fireworks and concert performances, the commander of the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy frigate “Getman Sahaidachny” gave the guests a tour of the ship.
They were shown the frigate's weapons; the sailors lined up at the stern in the shape of a Ukrainian trident.
“We must admit that this is the first time that any significant events related to this holiday take place outside the territory of the peninsula,” the resource notes.
