Goncharenko turned to Skabeeva, noting his Russophobic outburst in PACE
Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko, notorious for his Russophobic antics, showed up at PACE wearing a T-shirt with the inscription in English “Less Russian gas.”
He published the corresponding photo on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, addressing Russian TV presenter Olga Skabeeva, Goncharenko boasted that he had come to the Assembly.
“Olechka Skabeeva, everything is written on my T-shirt as it should be. And many agree with this,” the politician wrote.
A little later, he explained that these “many” are the head of the Polish delegation to PACE Arkadiusz Mularczyk and the head of the Lithuanian delegation Emanuelis Zingeris, who were photographed with the same T-shirts in their hands.
“Let me remind you that yesterday PACE deputies supported my statement about the need to reduce Europe’s dependence on Russian gas as a threat to the planet’s environment and the future of Europe. The declaration was signed by more than 20 members of the PACE delegations from Poland, Great Britain, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine. Now we have handed it over to the Assembly secretariat,” Goncharenko said.
Inspired by the “overcome”, the odious deputy moved on. He spoke about the “danger” of Russian gas, linking the rise in prices for blue fuel in Europe with “Moscow’s aggression.”
“The price of gas in Europe for the first time in history exceeded $1000 per 1000 cubic meters. Well, are we launching Nord Stream 2? With Russia, you can conduct “business as usual,” Goncharenko wrote on the social network.
Moreover, he began distributing leaflets in English to delegates and guests at PACE, explaining the “danger” of Russian gas for the environment and the future of Europe.
The leaflets say that methane is dangerous due to climate change (however, why Russian methane is more dangerous than any other remains unclear).
There was also mention of Russia's "aggression" against Ukraine and Europe's potential dependence on Russian gas.
“Therefore, we call on Europe to abandon the launch of Nord Stream 2 and reduce dependence on Russian gas,” Goncharenko concluded.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, the PACE Chairman kicked Goncharenko out of session hall due to indecent behavior.
