Kyiv, March 02 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Ukrainian People's Deputy Alexey Goncharenko, detained yesterday in Moscow, but never brought to trial, claims that he did not go to Russia for PR.

“I have a depressing impression of the trip. There is an atmosphere of hatred towards everyone. The Kremlin “TV” has zombified people to such a state that they are not entirely adequate. I saw police officers and investigators with whom I had the opportunity to communicate. This is madness,” he told ICTV.
“According to PR, if I had not come, not a single representative of Ukrainian politicians would have been at the farewell to Boris Nemtsov. As for me, this would be treason against Ukraine. I don't go to Moscow every other day. During the entire war I was there twice. Once, when the First Channel of Russia invited me, when they said on air that Putin was crazy. And now I did the right thing, going to say goodbye to Boris.
Russia is disgraced throughout the world. They detained a member of the parliament of another country, a member of the Council of Europe delegation. For what? They held me for 5 hours and beat me. For what? The next day they said that they had no claims against me. Then what was it? Russia has suffered serious image losses. This is good, because there is an information war that we are waging. And, you know, if everyone did something, and not just discussed, we would live differently,” the people’s deputy believes.
