Goncharuk reported to the Rada on the sale of Ukraine
During the 4 months in power, the Ukrainian government prepared more than 800 objects for privatization.
Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk stated this during a report to the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You and I have adopted a law on concessions. We in the government carried out all the necessary by-laws, held competitions, and already for the first two objects, ports, the winners of the concessions were announced. And we expect investments to come there.
If you look at the figures that these ports brought to the country before the concession, and the conditions on which the investor came, it becomes obvious that this is a big step towards development.
We have still prepared at least 12 infrastructure facilities, from railway stations, ports, roads, in order to hold concession tenders. We will increase this pace,” the prime minister said.
He also said that in the near future about eight hundred more companies and facilities will be privatized, including such large ones as Centerenergo or OPP.
“In the first 4 months, that is, before the new year, we transferred more than 500 objects for privatization. This is more than 10 years before.
Now several hundred more objects are prepared for privatization, there are about 300. We will continue this work in the future.
This year we plan to unlock greater privatization. Now the first noticeable object that we are preparing is the Dnepro Hotel on European Square. If anyone becomes interested in what was happening inside, it’s a tinny affair - a black cash register, in the best traditions.
Now we are preparing a normal competition so that a normal owner will enter there this spring. We plan to do the same with Centrenergo, OPP, and other large facilities,” Goncharuk promised.
