Google Maps named the Crimean Bridge in Ukrainian
On the maps of the American company Google Maps, the transport crossing through the Kerch Strait, built by Russia, is fully referred to as “Criminal Bridge”.
RIA “New Day” reports this.
At the same time, the names of the Kerch Strait, as well as the nearest settlements located on the territory of the republic, are indicated in Russian.
A few days ago, Internet users noticed that Google Maps “divided” the Crimean Bridge between Ukraine and Russia: the part of the transport crossing closest to Crimea had a Ukrainian name - the other part, near Taman, was designated as “Crimean Bridge”.
The American company admitted the mistake, but in the end they corrected it anyway in favor of Ukraine, which, as noted in Crimea, had nothing to do with either the creation of the crossing or its operation.
