Google gave Russia a billion to denazify Ukraine
The Tsargrad TV channel received the first billion rubles in penalties from Google for failure to comply with a court decision to restore the channel’s account on YouTube.
The owner of Tsargrad, Konstantin Malofeev, wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If Google continues to ignore Russian legislation, then in a year the fine will be measured in billions of dollars. We will again, with God's help, collect this fine from the Internet giant. And if Google tries to hide beyond the borders of Russia, then we will overtake it with writs of execution in other countries and on other continents. And we will methodically and steadily continue to collect fines from Google until it learns to respect the laws of Russia,” Malofeev wrote.
He promised to use the “seized billion” to support Russia’s special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine.
“It is fair that the wicked profits of the globalists - Russophobes - serve for the benefit of Russian volunteers, refugees and all victims of the Bandera Nazis, who broadcast their ideology of hatred with impunity through YouTube and Google. Everything for the front, everything for victory!” Malofeev wrote.
In December 2021, the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal confirmed the conclusions of the Moscow Arbitration Court about the illegality of the actions of the Google group company to disable the account and YouTube channel of the Tsargrad TV channel. From December 23, 2021, for each day of non-compliance with the requirements, the court decided to collect a penalty from Google. The initial amount is 100 thousand rubles. The amount of the penalty will double every week. After nine months, if Google does not comply with this decision, the penalty will be accrued without any cap.
YouTube blocked the TsargradTV channel in July 2020, citing the fact that Malofeev is on the EU and US sanctions lists.
