Gorbulin threatens with missiles capable of reaching Moscow
Ukraine can create an operational tactical missile system that will be capable of firing one and a half thousand kilometers, that is, reaching the Russian capital.
Former Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, adviser to several presidents of the country Vladimir Gorbulin stated this on air on the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gorbulin, Ukrainian designers have all the developments necessary for this, but there is no political will to start this process.
“The technology for formulating solid propellant missiles has been developed, we have developed the technology for equipping solid propellant engine casings, we have developed the technology for producing explosive mixtures, and most importantly, we have developed the technology for equipping combat units. That is, a complex that allows us today to talk about the real possibilities of creating operational tactical missile systems and cruise missiles of a class, for example, up to 500 kilometers. This is what used to be short range.
But the capabilities of Dnepropetrovsk show the possibility of creating missiles - this is how the development of the Sapsan complex began at one time. It was supposed to be carried out in several stages - from operational-tactical to medium-range complex, and this is at least one and a half thousand to two thousand kilometers. To be honest, we don’t need any further,” Gorbulin said.
According to him, this will take between two and five years, subject to proper funding.
