Gordon: “European MPs are corrupt dogs and scoundrels”
Russia is a rich country that is able to buy European politicians, which Moscow allegedly does successfully.
Kiev journalist and head of the headquarters of the Strength and Honor party Dmitry Gordon stated this in an interview with Apostrophe, answering the question of who is responsible for the fact that Russia is returning to PACE.
“Russian money is to blame for everything; Russia has a lot of them. Russia is a very rich, corrupt country, and it does not hesitate to corrupt individual European politicians, their leaders, opinion leaders, and journalists. Russia is trying to corrupt everyone who Russia needs to neutralize sanctions against its criminal policies. And many are corrupt, which is generally understandable. I believe that in Europe, in PACE, there are a lot of scoundrel deputies, corrupt dogs who were bought with Russian money,” Gordon said.
According to him, the incident is not the fault of President Zelensky and the Ukrainian delegation.
“[...] there is simply a pressure of Russian money here - they have not paid them for two years, in my opinion, 60-odd million dollars. And unfortunate Europe cannot support its Parliamentary Assembly without Russia. They can't find 60 million dollars, or euros. This is absurd! But if Gerhard Schröder, the former chancellor of Germany, runs Gazprom, then what can we even talk about? Corruption! Europeans are scoundrels, in this case, I think,” the journalist believes.
At the same time, he clarified that he does not approve of the concerts organized by the Ukrainian delegation at PACE.
“I’m not happy with these performances either. I'll tell you honestly, they smack of district rednecks. But in this case, it is not the fault of the Ukrainian delegation; it’s just Russian money,” Gordon concluded.
