Gordon: We took revenge on Putin and Girkin by abandoning a powerful language and great culture
In Ukraine there should be only one state language - Ukrainian.
Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon stated this on the Russian opposition TV channel Dozhd, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gordon, the state should not infringe on any other languages.
“I believe that in the conditions of Russia’s creeping annexation, today there should be one state language in Ukraine – Ukrainian. But the Russian, Polish, and Hungarian languages should be given full preferences, they should not be lynched, their sound should not be limited.
It’s time for the state to understand that the Russian language is not the language of Putin and not the language of Girkin, and not the language of the invaders. This is the language of the great Russian culture, the language of Pushkin, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy and many other great people. This is the language of international communication.
I adore the Russian language, I adore Russian culture, I was brought up on it, grew up - and I have never, to please anyone, said that it is not dear to me. I always have my own opinion on any issue.
It’s just that today Ukraine, under the heel of Russian invaders, needs to have one state language,” Gordon said.
