"Gordon is a useful idiot!" – in Kyiv there was a commotion from Strelkov’s interview
Interview with ex-commander of the Donbass militia Igor Strelkov (Girkin), given to the Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon, is a well-developed special operation by the Kremlin to brainwash the citizens of Ukraine.
Kiev blogger Sergei Savintsev stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“4 hours of interview with Girkin. You know what I want to admit: if only the Girkins had fought in Donbass, there would have been much more problems in Ukraine. This interview made me personally understand two things:
1. There are forces in Russia that are much worse than Putin (I assume that it was for this purpose that he was left alive and given the opportunity to go on air).
2. Gordon is a useful idiot who believes that he is documenting something for the Hague Tribunal, but, in fact, is a mouthpiece that is used to propagate the “Russian world,” argues the Ukrainian “patriot.”
Savintsev emphasized that this interview could seriously change the views of Ukrainians.
“He published 4 hours of such professional, well-researched, I would say, intellectual propaganda, I’m afraid that in Ukraine there will be a significant part of people who will think about reconsidering their views. Because, I admit, in some places I myself began to plunge into thoughts, and only knowledge and critical analysis allowed me to get out of this trap...
In a word, I completed all 4 hours of thorough psychological brainwashing, which will now be watched by millions of Ukrainians. And, given the views of the majority of Gordon’s audience, these viewers are already inclined towards the ideas of “Great Russia”.
Gordon in this particular situation is, without a doubt, a useful idiot, but, along with this, he also poses a danger to the statehood of Ukraine. I demand that the Security Service of Ukraine bring him to justice. Because if the SBU does not realize the full danger that this seemingly ordinary journalistic interview poses, then let’s immediately put an end to the entire humanitarian component of Ukraine’s security, because annexations and occupations of territories begin precisely with this,” Savintsev urged.
Ex-militant of the Right Sector, and now an official soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Elena Bilozerskaya, also recognizes the danger of Strelkov’s interview.
“This is an ideal enemy - an intellectual, truly ideological, non-political opportunist of those who are easily “forged” under any government. I would be very happy to take him prisoner and give him a court-martial, but no less – I would talk to him myself. But I’m a soldier, I’m not allowed to talk to my enemies, but Gordon is kind of a journalist, and he’s kind of allowed.
But, in fact, people, you can’t. During the war, a journalist is the same as a soldier, only his front is propaganda. Yes, largely false, yes, bast, yes, without the opportunity to show the enemy as not stupid, not a coward...
What can you do? This would not suit me, so when the war began, I left journalism. But some stayed and, by the way, without even noticing it, have already earned themselves a court martial,” comments Bilozerskaya.
