Gordon admitted that Maidan was a hoax
Ukraine will not receive membership in the EU and NATO, as the Maidan leaders promised; moreover, the European Union itself may collapse. Ex-deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Poroshenko Bloc, propagandist Dmitry Gordon, stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’ll be completely honest: neither NATO nor the European Union is waiting for us. And when I was one of the first to go to Maidan in 2013, I was in favor of European integration and for Ukraine to join the EU. I was absolutely sure that if the government changed and Yanukovych fell, Ukraine would immediately be taken into the EU. Ukraine will not be in the EU or NATO in the foreseeable future, so all statements that we are going there are populism,” he said.
Gordon believes that the European Union is in danger of collapse.
“The European Union is going through hard times, and Vladimir Bukovsky, the legendary Soviet dissident who lives in Cambridge near London, and I visited him back in 2012, told me then that the European Union would collapse in the same way as the Soviet Union collapsed . These formations are artificial, they are not capable of long life. I thought then that maybe Vladimir Konstantinovich somehow didn’t like the European Union, but now I understand that even then he was right.
I think the European Union will fall apart. States as different as Germany, Greece and Hungary, for example, cannot exist within the framework of one union,” Gordon concluded.
