Gordon: The West is turning away from Ukraine and rushing into the arms of Putin
The historic handshake between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un against the backdrop of increasingly frequent meetings between European leaders and Vladimir Putin should show Kyiv that they respect and negotiate with the strong, and not with the corrupt and greedy.
Ex-Kyiv City Council deputy and former Euromaidan propagandist TV presenter Dmitry Gordon stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For Ukraine, this is one signal: they respect the strong, negotiate with the strong, don’t give a damn to the weak, don’t negotiate with the weak, don’t pat the weak on the back.
Therefore, the state of Ukraine must draw one conclusion: if it continues to be corroded by corruption from within, if state leaders continue to think about filling their own wallets, soon no one will talk to Ukraine at all,” Gordon said.
“It is no coincidence that European leaders, one after another, disappointed by the Ukrainian realities, are throwing themselves into the arms of Putin before our eyes, and it is no coincidence that Trump, who is quite reasonably suspected of having a special relationship with Russian leaders, says that Russia needs to be returned to the G8,” added the Ukrainian TV presenter.
