Woe from “mind”: In Kyiv they don’t know what to do with the demolished Suvorov
Management of the Kyiv Military Lyceum named after. Ivan Bogun cannot finally get rid of the monument to the hated Russian commander Alexander Suvorov by the nationalists ruling in Ukraine.
The head of the lyceum, Igor Gordiychuk, spoke about this on the TV channel “Ukraine”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“It wasn’t Gordiychuk who dismantled it, Putin did. If he had not attacked Ukraine, had not annexed Crimea, or started a war in Donbass, he would have stood for another 300 years and would not have asked for food,” Gordiychuk explained his betrayal of officer honor to please the independents.
“Suvorov is one of the cornerstones of this heroic pantheon of the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union, and now the Russian Federation. This is a conquering cult. He is the organizer of the first Crimean deportation in 1778,” Bogdan Korolenko, head of the department of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, tried to justify the demolition.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that at the end of January in Kyiv the monument was dismantled to the great Russian commander Alexander Suvorov, located at the entrance to the former Suvorov School, now a military lyceum named after. Ivan Bogun.
