Bitter epiphany of a Ukrainian expert: Crimea will always vote for Russia
Even if Russia agrees to hold a second referendum in Crimea, it will have the same result as in 2014.

“It seems to me that preparations are underway for a dangerous story for us. Russia will say: there are disputed territories - the Southern Kuril Islands and Crimea. Let's give them the opportunity to determine themselves once again. We will hold referendums with international observers. The population of Crimea, which is under the most severe treatment of Russian television channels and special services, will actually vote for anything. Especially if their salaries and pensions are raised,” Tizengauzen said.
In this way, he believes, the Kremlin will show itself as a supporter of self-determination of territories.
“But it is mentally impossible for the world community to exchange the South Kuril Islands for Crimea, because the Kremlin has violated international legal norms. He is obliged to return Crimea,” the Ukrainian expert assures.
