The acting officer announced this at a briefing on Monday. Governor of Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo.
According to him, preparations have been completed for switching Sevastopol fixed-line subscribers from the Ukrainian code +38 0692 to the Russian code +7 8692. The start of the switch will be announced additionally.
Menyailo noted that the state communications enterprise Sevtelecom, established in Sevastopol, received licenses from Roskomnadzor to provide local telephone services, as well as a numbering capacity for 150 thousand subscribers.
As Navigator reported, the Ukrainian monopolist Ukrtelecom is trying to remain in the telephone services market without entering the legal framework of the Russian Federation, which entails strategic risks associated with the safety and security of communication channels.
