The head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkov region, Igor Lupandin, reported this to the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“Now I’m visiting the territory of the Balakleya district and the city itself. The territory is free. There are no posts anywhere. At the moment, about 70% of the residents have returned to the city of Balakleya and those settlements adjacent to Balakleya. Now work is progressing as usual in the direction of transporting passengers. Additionally, special buses have been sent,” he said.
All utilities, including emergency utilities, are at their work stations, Lupandin said. They check pipelines, gas lines and power supplies. There is damage to residential buildings, the destruction is being recorded and the consequences of the incident will be eliminated in the future.
