The State Department announces an increase in the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine
Since the threat to Ukraine now comes not only from the east, but also from the north (read - from Belarus), and from the south, the United States must increase the supply of lethal weapons to Kyiv.
US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland announced this at a hearing in the Senate, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Given that the threat now does not just come from the east, it exists on three sides of Ukraine, it is now obviously necessary to increase the volume of lethal weapons compared to the amount that was provided in the past.
But it must be used for defensive purposes, not offensive. These are anti-tank weapons, anti-aircraft weapons, anti-aircraft weapons,” said Victoria Nuland.
