The US State Department deals with Ukraine as part of Russia
Ukraine is not the main interest for the United States - they have too many headaches in other parts of the world. Moreover, Americans generally believe that Ukraine is part of Russia, which suddenly burst into their politics.
Yuri Tabakh, a retired American military man and former head of the NATO mission in Russia, stated this on air on the I-UA Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I understand that Ukraine is No. 1, because you are Ukrainians. But just imagine: how many wars are there in the world, how many civil wars are there, how many gang wars are there? We have gangsters killing people in Mexico, Americans were shot there, we have Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestinians, Turkey, and you want the Americans to concentrate only on Ukraine or what?
The State Department says: “Yes, there is such a country, Ukraine, it somehow interfered in our politics, before that no one had heard or knew about it at all, they probably thought that it was part of Russia, basically”...
We must realize that Ukraine is not a priority for America, and should generally be a priority for Europe, and not for Europe to build Nord Stream, which our president, by the way, is blocking and imposing sanctions. But he is not doing this for your sake,” Tabakh said.
