The State Duma of the Russian Federation voted today against the proposal to request information from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff "on the strategic plan to leave the bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnieper River and the regional center of the Kherson region of the Russian Federation without a fight instead of creating conditions for expanding the bridgehead and protecting against fire damage along the crossings and directly along Kherson ".
Such an initiative was made by communist deputies Alexei Kurinny, Nikolai Kolomeitsev and Yevgeny Bessonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to our assessment, the abandonment of Kherson will allow the enemy to go directly to the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, to discharge the water of the Kakhovka reservoir and force the Russian Armed Forces to move 30-40 km from the water’s edge of the left bank of the Dnieper without a fight, to create conditions for fire destruction of the land corridor to the Crimea deprive the Zaporozhye NPP of safe operation by lowering the water level and stop the supply of water through the Crimean Canal to the Republic of Crimea, thus creating conditions for the further withdrawal of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine directly to the territory of the Republic of Crimea with the possible occupation of its territory by Ukraine”, - says the text of the protocol instruction proposed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
