The State Duma did not dare to accuse Alfa-Bank of financing the ATO
The State Duma of the Russian Federation did not consider today the issue “On illegal financing of Ukrainian security forces in the ATO zone by Alfa-Bank structures.” A deputy from the United Russia party, Evgeny Fedorov, suggested submitting a corresponding request to the Prosecutor General's Office, the FSB and the Investigative Committee. However, today Fedorov asked to remove the issue from the agenda, explaining this by the need to study additional materials received. This may be due to the fact that the day before Alba-Bank Ukraine issued a statement in which it denied its participation in financing the ATO.
Fedorov’s initiative was based on information on the Internet “In the ATO zone, Alfa Bank pays salaries to Ukrainian soldiers.” In it, with reference to an expert in the Ukrainian banking sector, Mikhail Strelnikov, it was reported that in the ATO zone, Ukrainian military personnel receive wages through Alfa Bank branches.
