Moscow - Simferopol, May 28 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) -  For all pensioners in Crimea and Sevastopol, from January 1, 2015, pensions will be recalculated in accordance with Russian legislation. If, during recalculation, the size of the new Russian pension does not reach the size of the pension paid as of December 31, 2014, including taking into account the monthly additional payment to it, which is established by presidential decree, then the pension will be paid in the same higher amount, writes RG.

The State Duma in the first reading adopted a bill on pension provision for Russian citizens living in the territories of the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol, the newspaper reports.

The bill also stipulates that the process of forming their pension rights will begin for residents of Crimea and Sevastopol. Periods of work on the territory of Ukraine from January 1, 2002 to March 18, 2014 and on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol from March 18, 2014 to January 1, 2015 are equated to periods of work during which insurance contributions were paid to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation and are included in experience.

The amount of insurance contributions for compulsory pension insurance for periods of work from 2002 to 2014 will be calculated based on the rate of contributions to the Pension Fund established on the date of signing the reunification agreement, and the average monthly salary in the southern regions of our country, since these regions are the most are close to Crimea in terms of infrastructure and climatic conditions. Let me remind you that the insurance premium rate as of March 18, 2014 was 16%, and the average salary in the South of the Russian Federation was 24 rubles 245 kopecks.

The bill also states that residents of Crimea and Sevastopol who have worked in the last 12 years under civil contracts or who have provided themselves with work, that is, individual entrepreneurs, lawyers, etc., will receive contributions equal to the fixed contribution for 2014, which established for Russian self-employed. This is 17 rubles 328 kopecks.

For citizens who will be pensioners as of January 1, 2015, pensions will be recalculated on the basis of several documents: certificates issued by employers or state (municipal) bodies that would confirm the period of work and the amount of a person’s salary, as well as registration marks in the passport on the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol on March 18, 2014 or a registration certificate to confirm permanent residence on the peninsula. Documents drawn up in Ukrainian are accepted without translation into Russian. No additional statements are required from pensioners.

The preferential status of a citizen will be taken into account when establishing and paying pensions on the basis of title documents, including those on disability, issued in Ukraine before March 18, 2014 and in Crimea and Sevastopol before January 1, 2015.
