The State Duma adopted a statement on Donbass, avoiding the wording “Novorossiya” and “Russians”
Moscow - Kyiv, October 10 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The State Duma of Russia today adopted an appeal to the world's parliaments calling on them to pay attention to crimes against the population of Donbass, begin an investigation and bring to justice, in particular, those responsible for the murder and mass graves of civilians.

It is noteworthy that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation demanded more stringent wording in the document, insisting that it deal with the “genocide of the people of Novorossiya,” as well as the role of the United States and the EU in organizing the coup in Ukraine.
Communist Tamara Pletneva noted that the statement included the South and East of Ukraine instead of the DPR, LPR or Novorossiya.
The leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, announced the same a little later. He noted that in the document the residents of Donbass are called “Ukrainian people.”
“What are the “Ukrainian people near Donetsk in the South-East of Ukraine” like? This is Russian land, Russian territories, this is a gift from Lenin. What are we fighting for there? So that 2-3 battalion members would be punished for these executions? So, will we be satisfied? ... They can tell us that this is in the South-East, why interfere in the internal affairs of Ukraine ... We continue to hush up the most important struggle - against the Russian people,” Zhirinovsky said.
It is noteworthy that Zhirinovsky’s fellow party member Leonid Slutsky, who heads the Committee on CIS Affairs, decided to contradict him.
“For ourselves, we call these territories in the most understandable way. If you write, addressing the parliaments of the world, those formulations that are presented in a different way in their media, it will be a conversation between the deaf and the blind. We must understand who we are addressing in order to be heard,” Slutsky said.
Vladimir Vasiliev from United Russia recalled that today’s statement by the State Duma is the sixth document adopted by the Russian parliament on Ukraine this year.
Leonid Kalashnikov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation expressed doubt that the appeal would have real consequences. “To expect the West to send a commission there and investigate the facts - we see how they act on Boeing,” the deputy said.
