The State Duma allowed to renounce Ukrainian citizenship on Russian territory
The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted today in the second reading amendments to the law on citizenship of the Russian Federation, which allows one to renounce Ukrainian citizenship by drawing up a notarized document in Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The following scheme is proposed: citizens of Ukraine write a document renouncing Ukrainian citizenship, this document is drawn up by a notary, one copy remains with the migration service of the Russian Federation, the second notarized copy is sent to Ukraine,” said Pavel Krasheninnikov, Chairman of the State Construction Committee, who reported on the issue.
According to him, Russian citizenship will be granted on the basis of this refusal. According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 600 thousand refugees from Ukraine are waiting for him.
Problems with providing Russian citizenship and residence permits to Ukrainians were caused by the fact that Ukraine has recently not issued certificates of renunciation of citizenship to Ukrainians, without which it is impossible to obtain Russian citizenship,
