The State Duma took the first step towards the privatization of Russian Post
The Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian Post" will be corporatized by the end of this year. The corresponding law was adopted today by the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
The Communist Party faction believes that this is the first step towards the privatization of a socially significant enterprise. Deputy Nikolai Osadchiy stated this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We view this law as the first step towards the possible privatization of the national means of communication through the sale of shareholdings in parts to private hands. There is a threat to optimization for the network of postal institutions,” Osadchy said.
According to him, the law contains market transactions that contain risks: investing free funds, acquiring shares in the authorized capital of business companies and property transactions. There is the right to create subsidiaries and legal entities, including abroad.
“This bill is on a par with bills on raising the retirement age and VAT. We see that the government professes a liberal market ideology, when in the pursuit of economic efficiency, social security and justice are damaged. This worries us,” Osadchiy said.
