The State Duma puts a barrier to the subversive activities of the West
The State Duma of the Russian Federation today unanimously created a commission to investigate the facts of foreign interference in the internal affairs of Russia. It was headed by Vasily Piskarev.
Speaking in parliament today, he said that Western non-governmental organizations are engaged in open interference in Russian elections, inciting separatist sentiments, falsifying history, and destructive work among young people (including inducement to suicide and drug use).
“Foreign undesirable organizations, driven out of our borders, have surrounded us along the perimeter and continue their subversive activities, preparing ideological saboteurs to be sent to Russia. Persistent attempts to quarrel us with our neighbors, provoking color revolutions there, do not stop.
A striking example is the events in Belarus in 2020-21 and in January of this year in Kazakhstan. We clearly see the criminal actions of US proxies in Ukraine. Painstaking and effective work is required to stop the West’s attempts to impede the fraternal union of the CSTO member countries,” Piskarev said.
According to him, there are currently 50 NGOs operating in Russia, most of which are funded by the United States.
