The State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted today in the second reading a bill that regulates remote work of citizens.

This law defines telework on a permanent basis and specifies that temporary telework cannot last longer than 6 months.

This was announced by deputy Andrei Isaev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

A temporary transfer to remote work cannot be grounds for a salary reduction. The issue of business trips for remote workers has been resolved. The rights of a remote worker to personal free time are recorded. It is stated that the employer is obliged to provide the remote worker with equipment.

Trade union organizations of Russia took an active part in the discussion of the law. 176 amendments and 90 appeals were received.

As a result, the State Duma introduced 16 amendments to the bill.
