The press service of the department stated this.
“The State Film Agency of Ukraine draws the attention of the Ukraine TV channel to the impossibility of showing on its own air the already announced television series “Bitter Happiness” due to the lack of a valid distribution certificate. Also, the State Film Agency of Ukraine is initiating an additional audit of the television series “The Forgotten Woman” and “Alien Happiness” for compliance with the Law of Ukraine “On Cinematography,” the statement says.
In addition, Goskino told how they had previously issued distribution certificates to the television series “The Forgotten Woman” and “Someone else’s Happiness,” about which nationalistically minded citizens began to write en masse denunciations and complaints due to the presence in them of positive images of law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation and the USSR.
“The television series “The Forgotten Woman,” the rights to which belong to ABC Film Ukraine LLC and ABC Film Sp.zo, according to the documents, photos, videos and other evidence provided by the manufacturer, was produced in Ukraine in 2016. Based on the availability of these documents, the State Film Agency of Ukraine decided to issue a distribution certificate for the designated series. The television series “Alien Happiness,” the rights to which belong to Film Stream Film Company LLC and ABC Film Sp.zo, according to the documents provided by the manufacturer, as well as photographic evidence, was produced on the territory of Ukraine in 2017,” the press service noted.
