“Lord, what has this all come to!” – Shakhnazarov noted the degradation of Western civilization
The West, which was once a truly cultured, educated and rich civilization, is now rapidly degrading, which is manifested in its stupid politics.
The general director of Mosfilm, Russian film director Karen Shakhnazarov, said this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia is an educated country. We, of course, know about the crimes of Western civilization, but we know very well that Western civilization has created many wonderful things that we use - Italian music, French painting and literature, German philosophy, British science. This is a huge layer in our lives.
And when I see all this (provocation of the West in the Czech Republic - ed.) - Lord, what has it all come to. I can't believe these people can't at least come up with something interesting. I understand that the struggle is going on, you want to destroy us, destroy us. But do it in the spirit of your civilization - interesting, cunning. But when I already hear this crap (anti-Russian statements of the Czech Republic – approx. ed.) – I simply have no words,” he said.
Karen Shakhnazarov emphasized that all anti-Russian actions of the West are caused by fear of the possibility of reviving an analogue of the USSR.
“I understand that behind everything there is a passionate desire to prevent the rebirth of what they call the USSR. This is their super idea, their legs and arms go numb when they think that to some extent an analogue of the Soviet Union can be revived,” the director added.
