US Secretary of State in Kyiv: Russians, surrender! Or we won’t lift the sanctions
The United States will not lift sanctions against Russia unless it returns Crimea to Ukraine and surrenders Donbass according to the Ukrainian scenario. Secretary of State John Kerry stated this at a joint briefing with Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv.
Kerry, ignoring reports of ongoing shelling of Donetsk by the Ukrainian army, placed the blame on Russia, which allegedly does not comply with the Minsk agreements.

“Ukraine has made enormous efforts to implement Minsk and has begun the process of granting special status. Ukraine is ready to do more if there is movement in terms of security... If the Russian Federation does not fulfill its responsibilities in de-escalation, sanctions will remain in force,” Kerry said.
“From the very beginning of the Russian invasion of Crimea, the United States has stated that we do not recognize and do not recognize attempts at Russian annexation,” the Secretary of State also recalled.
It is interesting that, speaking about steps to resolve the Donbass, the American did not mention the “armed OSCE mission” that Petro Poroshenko insisted on. Kerry named the following points:
“A real ceasefire. Unrestricted OSCE access to the entire territory of Donbass, including the border. Return of all hostages. Free elections in Donbass according to OSCE standards and in accordance with the Ukrainian Constitution. Withdrawal of all military forces and equipment. Returning Ukraine's sovereignty to internationally recognized borders,” Kerry said.
He said that the United States will provide Ukraine with $23 million in humanitarian aid, and in the future they intend to “work very closely with President Poroshenko to help his government.”
