Guests from Moscow are amazed: In the DPR, teenagers received Russian passports right under the fire of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The action dedicated to Russia Day, held on June 11 in the DPR, actually took place under artillery fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Youth Union Pavel Krasnorutsky spoke about this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the 11th, we arrived with the mission of holding the event “We are Citizens of Russia” - this is the presentation of passports to young citizens of the Russian Federation, who received their passports in the prescribed manner, and were supposed to receive them in a solemn atmosphere. And we got it, thank God.
We've arrived (in Donetsk - ed.) 11th in the morning. We were planning to sign an agreement with the head of the DPR, we arrived at the administration building and came across a crater literally five meters from the building itself. As I was told, the day before, on the 10th, a shell arrived, and a few meters were not enough for the shell to hit the DPR administration building,” Krasnorutsky said.
After signing the agreements in the DPR administration, the delegation went to Makeyevka, where the action “We are citizens of Russia” was planned.
“Realizing that just on the 11th the shelling of the city became more intense, we had great fears that the children who were supposed to receive a passport (these are 14-year-old teenagers) would not come to this action. But imagine my surprise when all 12 people who were planned for this action arrived, despite the fact that, indeed, the shelling of Donetsk had become more frequent. The guys came to this action, and I did not see any fear, any panic in their eyes - only fatigue from what was happening, from the tension that was felt in their behavior, their conversation.
But what is most disgusting for me is that before we had time to drive away from this place where the action was held, literally an hour and a half later a blow was struck on Makeyevka. Question: for what? Thank God, no one was hurt, but the fact itself, to put it mildly, is very unpleasant,” the social activist recalled.
Thank you!
