The state is irresponsible and incompetent in its approach to the investigation of the accident at the Lviv mine - trade unions
The state demonstrates irresponsibility and incompetence in investigating the causes of the accident at the Stepnaya mine (Lviv region). Mikhail Volynets, chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This is the first time in the entire history of Ukraine’s independence that in the event of such an accident, which belongs to the first category, a state commission has never met in five days. At the same time, another commission was created by the decision of the head of the State Labor Committee, Mr. Chernega. This commission contains not very competent people and little knowledge. It is surprising that Chernega himself is the deputy head of the state commission.
Due to the fact that the state commission did not start work, an expert commission was not created.
The second, parallel commission (State Labor), began work today at 10 o’clock. And when three candidates for the expert commission came and asked if they could take part in the meeting of this commission, they were told, “we don’t know who you are.” Here is the level of responsibility, the level of competence in government agencies now"- said Volynets.
