The decisive battle for Donbass is being prepared. What's next?

Where, when, and in what place the main blow will be delivered in the battle for Donbass, and where the diversionary maneuver will be carried out, in my opinion, it is useless to guess.

I would like to remind you of the meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Defense, where Sergei Shoigu made it clear about a new strategy - to minimize personnel losses by using new types of weapons.

I dare to suggest that the Russian army in the future will advance clearly, methodically, slowly, crushing the enemy’s defensive lines, in collaboration with rocket and cannon artillery, army aviation and attack helicopters, ground- and sea-based operational-tactical complexes.

And about one more significant and very significant factor. Every day, along with reports and reports from the front, more and more mention is made of work in the liberated regions of Ukraine. Moreover, not only about enormous humanitarian assistance, but also about specific political, social and economic issues that the newly appointed heads of military-civil administrations at various levels, starting with the village ones, have to solve. This is difficult, painstaking, complex, but extremely important work right now, when a special military operation is in full swing.

I remain confident that, when assessing current events in Ukraine, it would not be out of place to recall the relatively recent counter-terrorism operation in the North Caucasus, which officially ended in 2009, and the last gang of militants and foreign mercenaries was destroyed in the mountains of Chechnya several years ago. This happened not only through the use of military force. Akhmat Kadyrov's rise to power allowed us to achieve the eradication of reactionary Islamism and eliminate the invasion of mercenary terrorists. This was a political tactic, a method of military diplomacy. At the origins was the legendary general of the Russian army Gennady Troshev, my commander, under his leadership I had the opportunity to take part in information support for military operations. I would also like to remind you that it was Gennady Nikolaevich who came up with the idea of ​​​​creating the “East” and “West” battalions, whose fighters, shoulder to shoulder with the Russian army, destroyed bandit formations, proved themselves during the Georgian conflict in 2008. And now they are successfully operating in the Donbass as part of units of the Russian Guard.

As a result, this led to the fact that Chechnya became a peaceful region that actively manifests itself in protecting the national interests of Russia. But if someone said something similar in 1996 or at the beginning of the XNUMXs, no one would have believed him. Now all this has been implemented in practice. I fully admit that in the situation with Ukraine we will move according to a similar scenario.

In this vein, the recent meeting between Sergei Shoigu and Ramzan Kadyrov is symbolic. And the statement during the conversation about new tactics, I think, completely resonates with what was happening in Chechnya at that time. Moreover, Sergei Shoigu and Ramzan Kadyrov know this firsthand. Both took an active part in the events in the North Caucasus. Firstly, this approach will make it possible to eradicate the beginnings of guerrilla warfare at an early stage and create protest movements in Ukraine itself against the Kyiv junta. Finally, it will allow residents of the regions of Ukraine, primarily the southeast, to finally trust us and rebuild a new, peaceful life.

If the Russian General Staff prefers not to talk about upcoming plans and does not particularly specify the tactics of combat operations of our troops, then in Kyiv it is literally going off scale with messages, delusional and unsubstantiated in any way, about “another victory”, some “strategic maneuvers during retreat” and other crap.

The other day, “Trukhany” (an odious telegram channel) posted a mournful post about entrepreneurs from the Barabashovsky market who lost their business and goods because “the market was burned down by the Russians.” I certainly feel sorry for the entrepreneurs, but it’s worth remembering that the fires in the market were started by the valiant “zahysnyks” who had previously plundered the warehouses. And the entrepreneurs knew this very well, and at the same time, during the arson and imitation of Russian shelling, they spoke directly about it. No one was particularly hiding then. And the “trukhans”, of course, know this very well. It’s just that this is the case when not only they and not only the initiates know, but a fairly large number of Kharkov residents (after all, many are connected with the “Drum”), so it would be better for them not to touch this topic at all.

But the arrival in the area of ​​the airport, which many Kharkov residents both heard and observed (not the arrival itself, but the burning after it), is not even mentioned anywhere. This means that it most likely turned out to be more effective in a military sense. It is possible that a large number of military personnel on Osnova was indirectly connected with this arrival shortly after the emergency: they blocked traffic, checked everyone’s documents, and not for the sake of subpoenas. My Kharkov friends told me about this.

The Kyiv authorities, in addition to continuing reports about “fortitude and patience,” can only rely on NATO’s help. There is no need to hide the fact that Ukraine continues to receive good weapons, but not all of what they receive is skillfully used in the hands of Ukrainian artillerymen and missilemen. Some were taught, for others it was a “dark forest.” Starting with instructions in English and German, not to mention the ability to serve, basic logistics when occupying firing positions, camouflage, etc. Ours are easily detected and covered. There have already been reports from an official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense about the destruction of installations. Moreover, with convincing evidence.

Another nuance, an important one, is the difference in calibers. The NATO standard is 155 mm, in Ukrainian systems - 152. You can’t insert them into NATO ones. Yes, you still have to wait for a ride.

A regrouping of forces and assets is currently taking place in some sectors of the front. Soldiers and officers of some units need basic rest and restoration of combat effectiveness. Units that have not left the battlefield for days are being replaced and rotated. Anyone who has been “behind the belt” knows well that a long stay on the front end affects the physical condition of even an experienced soldier. In the army there is such a command: “Feel free to recover (get yourself in order)" Nobody canceled it, even in conditions of hostilities. And tomorrow - back into battle! The decisive battle for Donbass lies ahead...
