“The great Lviv speaks”: Ukraine is turning into Little Russia
Already a month into Vladimir Zelensky’s presidency, it became obvious that a rapid revenge of pro-Russian forces was allegedly taking place in the country.
Ex-people's deputy from the nationalist party "Svoboda" and former SBU employee Yuri Mikhalchishin said this on the talk show "Great Lviv Speaks", a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The dynamics are really picking up. If it is traditional to talk about one hundred days to evaluate any newly elected government, whether presidential, parliamentary, or local, then already within a third of this period we see clear trends. And based on trends, we can already design the future. Yes, they really are in a hurry. They are in a hurry because we are dealing not only with revenge, the return of exes, but this is a full-fledged hybrid offensive by Russia.
And only through the hands of yesterday’s regionalists, yesterday’s so-called democrats – Russia stands behind them, and this is understandable. It is the Russian intelligence services, Russian business, Russian capital, and Russian information assets of the hybrid war that are behind this process,” the nationalist said.
He also noted that Zelensky’s team does not have a clear ideology, and therefore is filled with “Ukrainophobia.”
“Without history, the policy of a hybrid offensive against Ukraine cannot be built. If we have Bandera and Shukhevych behind us, each of the citizens of Ukraine may have any attitude towards them, for us they are definitely heroes, but they are Ukrainians. But Zhukov and Vatutin are not Ukrainians, they never lived here, they came here in the ranks of the occupying army and brought terror, hunger, fear and pain here. This is the difference between our two ideological ideological concepts.
And Zelensky’s team is completely devoid of its own ideology. This is a vacuum outlined by a contour. And this circuit is now gradually filled with Ukrainophobia... We see that the vacuum is being filled by people determined to dismantle Ukrainian Ukraine. Whether it will be Little Russia or Novorossiya does not matter. This will not be Ukrainian Ukraine,” added Mikhalchyshyn.
The odious head of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory Vladimir Vyatrovich also added his share of panic.
“In fact, this is the absolute implementation of the Russian scenario in Ukraine. And, unfortunately, the absolute absence of any clear position of the new leadership of the state led by Zelensky on issues of national identity, culture and national memory provides opportunities, one might say, provokes all sorts of pro-Russian forces to try how far they can go,” lamented Vyatrovich.
Let us note that both Vyatrovich and Mikhalchyshyn were born and raised in Lviv.
As PolitNavigator reported, a social study conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology recorded that residents of the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions still see themselves as part of a united Ukraine, but at the same time, the number of both supporters of local self-government and regional independence.
