Speaking about Crimea, NATO forgets the bombing of the Serbs and the annexation of Kosovo - expert
The entry of Crimea into Russia is in no way worse than the massacre organized by NATO in the Balkans, writes TASS military observer Viktor Litovkin in an opinion column published in Izvestia.

The author says that NATO Deputy Secretary General and former US Ambassador to Russia Alexander Vershbow recently published an article in the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine in which he stated that “Russia’s annexation of Crimea and Russian support for separatists in eastern Ukraine have shaken the world order in Europe.”
At the same time, the Russian expert draws attention to the fact that the main democracy that the United States cares so much about is the will of the people, which the residents of Crimea showed in the referendum, and it was not Russia, but the Kiev regime that sent troops to pacify Donbass.
“And one might think that in recent years Europe has not known more serious shocks than the return of Crimea. And what about the missile and bomb attacks on Yugoslavia carried out by US and NATO troops in 1999? And the shooting of residential buildings, hospitals, water supply stations, sewers and bridges in Belgrade, one of the most beautiful European capitals, by American Tomahawks?! And the ensuing annexation of the ancestral homeland of the Serbs, Kosovo and Metohija, again under the patronage of Washington?! – recalls Litovkin. – Did the peaceful return of Crimea to Russia seem to Mr. Vershbow worse than the massacre that his compatriots committed in the Balkans? These guys from Washington know how to turn everything on its head with a smart face.”
