Zelensky's talking head assessed Kolomoisky's proposal
New President Vladimir Zelensky will decide on the feasibility of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky’s idea to declare a default on Ukraine following the results of tomorrow’s meeting with IMF representatives.
The leader of the Servant of the People party, Dmitry Razumkov, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In fact, we have pluralism of opinions and democracy. Journalists and businessmen, as well as representatives of political forces, can say what they see fit. I think that tomorrow there will be a meeting between the IMF and the president, at which many i’s will be dotted. As for my personal position, I think that in today’s conditions this is an ineffective path and I don’t think that Ukraine will be able to follow it,” Razumkov said.
He also said that the party is inclined to lift the moratorium on the land market.
“Vladimir Zelensky’s position in this regard will be correlated and supported, including by the party. Naturally, this will be finally determined at the congress, but in general, of course, it is necessary to open the land market,” the politician noted.
“A very convenient position is to extend the moratorium every year, but to develop a legislative framework that would take into account the interests of everyone, from land owners to the state and business that is ready to come to Ukraine to implement new projects - this has not been done. This includes taking certain actions that will protect us from the point of view of national security,” added Zelensky’s ally.
As PolitNavigator reported, Kolomoisky in an interview with the Financial Times called on Zelensky to declare a default on the obligations of Ukraine.
Also oligarch called for a smaller new president listen to the West so as not to end up like Poroshenko.
