The GPU accused one of the founders of Rukh and ex-minister Yanukovych of “seizing power” in 2010
Political repressions in Ukraine are taking on a completely farcical character. Thus, one of the founders of the People's Movement of Ukraine and ex-Minister of Justice under Viktor Yanukovych, Alexander Lavrynovych, received a message from the Prosecutor General's Office (GPU) about suspicion of seizing power in 2010, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Lavrynovych announced this at the exit from the GPU, 112 Ukraine reports.
“There was an investigative action - handing me a suspicion. Nothing is asked during this. The main reason for my appearance here today is the interpretation that the decision of the Constitutional Court cannot be implemented except for those whom it concerns. The subject who violated the Constitution during the amendments to it, according to this scientific development, is determined by the only subject who has the right to correct his mistake. If the court has established the illegality of any action or deed, then the one who committed this offense must correct it. This is the stated logic,” Lavrinovich said.
He noted that the GPU is accusing him of seizing power, not a coup. For this “crime” he faces up to 15 years in prison. At the same time, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the ex-minister was not discussed today.
