Let us recall that the topic of electricity supplies to Crimea began to be discussed in Ukraine from the end of January, when Yatsenyuk demanded that the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Vladimir Demchishin explain why in the agreement on the supply of electricity to the republic, concluded between Russia and Ukraine in December last year, the peninsula is listed as “ Crimean Federal District of the Russian Federation".
“Regarding Crimea, there is criminal proceedings, it is being investigated,” Shokin answered when asked to comment on the situation.
Earlier, Demchishin admitted the possibility of terminating the existing contract for the supply of electricity to Ukraine from Russia, which also provided supplies to Crimea, although he called the deal profitable: “There are no economically disadvantageous conditions there. “I have already explained all this to Yatsenyuk.”
