“Robberies, kickbacks, skids” - why Ukraine will not join NATO
Talk about joining NATO in Ukraine is purely propaganda in nature; no one is going to join the Alliance. President of the Ukrainian Analytical Center Alexander Okhrimenko stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“The Ukrainian generals don’t really need NATO. According to the procedure, before joining the Alliance it is necessary to undergo an inventory of the Ukrainian army. Moreover, this will be done by NATO inspectors. Can you imagine how much will be revealed there?! Robberies, kickbacks, skids,” Okhrimenko said.
He believes that Ukraine does not have the money to rebuild its army to NATO standards, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ideally, Ukraine does not need NATO, but a professional army. You can imagine what we have now. Who earns the most from military tenders? Whoever is most important earns money. So now NATO will also control military tenders?” – said Okhrimenko.
